So today is Oct 5th... I got so much stuff I need to get done for the car. I'm currently at 91,000km and its slowly creeping up to 100,000km. Here is my To-do list:
New winter tires: $400 bucks. This is the top of the food chain thing I need done. I am currently in the process of saving for these.
New Oil Change: This needs to be done in the next 2000km or so. I will probably get this done at Wal Mart like I did last time. but who knows. I like switching things up to see how the car responds.
Undercoating: I got this done last winter by Crown and they did a TERRIBLE job. Shit was dripping off my car for months. Stained my driveway, etc. They just messed it up bad...
Save for a manual swap: This is the bread and butter of what I want done. I want to do this in the spring of next year using a combined savings money and my taxes I get back. Bill told me I should get one more year of awesome taxes of around $1,500. The manual swap is around $2000 to get done. I'm going to buy parts here and there. Manual is just where its at.Its so much more fun and you get better mileage out of your car. It gives you more control over the car. My auto tranny just seems way to sluggish and many people online agree. If I do a manual swap it opens up many doors for my car. I plan on keeping this car for a long time and if I do just one big thing to it a year than a manual swap is what I want next.

Sept 28th

Not much new to say about the car. The rims and tires have been holding up great. I am paying back some bills right now so I haven't bought anything new. I do want to get Kpro now that its available for the Auto. That opens so many doors down the road. I am loving my car. I am slowly creeping up on the 100,000km mark so it will be good to get some stuff done to it. Oil change, tranny fluid change, etc. I also need to buy some winter tires. So that will be next on my list of things to purchase. Winter tires.

New RIMS(Augest 5th)
So I ended up going to Star Tire in Lower Sackville the other day to get my used tires and rims put on that I bought like a fool on Kijiji. We get there and he tells me that my tires are to big... And also that they won't pass safety. After a few mins of talking he convinces me and my father that I should get new tires. We go out back and I pick out the new tire I want. They end up putting the tire on the rims and putting the rims on my car. I back the car out and am waiting for my father thats inside paying on his Visa(I am paying him back). He comes out and tells me to come inside.. I go inside and he tells me that they are willing to offer me brand new rims with the tire for $300 bucks more. I can choose from any rims that are on this one shelf. Long story short I choose new rims and put them on. No regrets at all. I love my new rims and think they are way better than the ones I bought on Kijiji.

Tire/Rim Update

So on Friday I bought some Tire from a guy on Kijiji. $100 bucks for 4 Bridgestone tires. Pretty good shape. Bill and I went to Scotia Tire on the Bedford Highway to get them put on the rims and put on the car. Bad news started. I was missing some Lug Nuts. I had 16 and needed 20. The second of the bad news was that I was missing these stupid little rubber pieces for my rims. Looked EVERYWHERE for them and could not find them. It sucked. I ended up buying 20 new lug nuts for the car. Bill found the rubber pieces today and I will hopefully be putting them on tomorrow afternoon.

Grr

So I look at my windshield the other day and notice a little chip in the windshield. I'm going to call my windshield guy "Bob" and get him to fix er up for me this weekend. Hopefully he does it for cheap or even free. Also I am in need of another oil change soon. Man they come fast. Everything else is going great.

Well just got back from a weekend trip with the girlfriend. Went to Moncton, NB. It was good. Car handled very well. Gas was very good. Overall the trip was around 600km total. No complaints. I'm looking at getting some tires for my new rims. I am currently looking on Kijiji.

New Rims
Well I got some new rims. They are 17'' ABA Rims. They are silver in colour. I bought them from a guy on Kijiji for $350 bucks. They are in pretty good shape other than the odd curb rash here and there. I cannot complain. I haven't put them on yet because I do not have tire yet. I love my rims and cannot wait to put them on :). I lied about the tire. Two of them got tire haha. :).

Out and about to take some pics
Last night I gave the car $20 bucks gas and went for a little drive. Found a good spot to take some pics during the day. Met up with Chris and we went to take some pics of the cars. I have an RSX and he has a Neon. The pics turned out alright. We were in Bedford near the waterfront. I like day pics more. Currently looking at RIMS on Kijiji.

MY REVIEW OF THE ACURA RSX BASE AUTO
==================================
Interior
=======
Pros:
- Very nice design
- Love the seats(Love having cloth over leather)
- Love how everything lights up Red
Cons:
- The stuff on the dashboard is hard to clean and has a different feel to it. Gathers alot of dust
Conclusion:
Overall I find the Interior is very nice and has a great setup. The bucket seats a very comfortable and cannot complain. I have the cloth and not the leather which is good because I don't stick to it and my back doesn't get all sweaty. Like I mentioned the material on the dash is a little different on the drivers side and gathers dust and is hard to clean off. I love the black interior over the Tan interior. I like how the stereo is angled towards the driver for better viewing.
Exterior
=======
Pros:
- Very sleek and nice.
- Stands out from other cars especially the rear.
- Two door, nice headlights, etc
Cons:
- Can't think of much wrong with the exterior.
- In my case it could of came with some Rims. All I got was the stock Hub Caps which truly suck.
- Base model black lip kit looking thing that they decided to put on...
Conclusion:
I find the exterior to be very nice. I prefer the 02-04 model over the 05-06 model. The headlights on the 02-04 models are much nicer in my opinion. I have my headlights blacked out which really add to the exterior. I also have no wing which I prefer. I'm not a fan of the black lip kit thing and will be taking it off or getting it painted soon.
Performance
==========
Pros:
- Very reliable car with a very reliable and dependable engine
- Got some good get up and go for being a base model Auto.
- 160HP
- DOHC
Cons:
- In my case would be the Auto Tranny. I should of gone Manual and hope to do a manual swap at some point.
- While 160HP is a big jump from my old neon that has around 125HP, its still not that much compared to other cars.
Conclusion:
For me its still a very fast and reliable car. I came from a Dodge Neon that had little to no power. The steering and suspension is leaps and bounds better. The steering is so stiff and it turns so well.
I have recently put a Short Ram Intake into my car. Took about 2 hours total. It makes a noticeable difference. This is just a regular Ebay cheap one to. I am going to put a different filter on it eventually. I paid about $60 bucks for that tops. Makes the car sound better, also gives me faster acceleration. Loving it. OH!! And I also have blackened out the Headlights of the car. That was very tricky but very fun. I enjoyed that alot. The finished product looks amazing. So far I have about 87,000 KM on the car and its running great :).
Future Ideas:
Convert to 5 Spd Manual
Race Header
Exhaust that sounds nice and quiet. Not super super loud
Etc.

Update(July 13th 09)
So this is my first post about my car. On Jan 11th I bought a 2002 Acura RSX base Model Auto. The car has been amazing so far for me. Exactly a month later on Feb 13th, the car would not start.... Don't let this fool you though... It was because I got the wrong key cut for the car. I had to have it towed that night and it was not a good night to say the least. The next morning I went to the dealership and tried the car with my key and it worked fine. I was so happy :). A few months later again on the a Friday the 13th I was coming home from Walmart with my friend Chris Brodie when I realized there was a crack brewing up on the windshield. I was not impressed. A few phone calls later I got that repaired from "Windshield Bob" for a really decent price. I believe it was $300 bucks. over a $150 less than any other place. Turned out great. OH! I forgot to mention.. In March I bought a 10" Kicker CVR4 Sub from my sisters Boyfriend Brandon, I believe I paid $60 bucks for that. Or 80.... not sure. I bought a box from Futureshop for $100 bucks... A Deck,Wiring harness, and wires from WalMart, and an Amp from BestBuy. I immediatly paid top dollar to have that all put in the car from Futureshop. After all was said and done it ended up costing me around $700. It was an amazing investment and I love the sound of the Sub. I think sometimes Brandon wishes he never sold it to me so he could of put it in his Civic. Futureshop did an amazing job putting it in. I had the capaciter and the amp skrewed to the back of the chair. Amazing setup. I have had my oil changed once and had an undercoating done to it. The undercoating ended up costing around $110 bucks I believe. and the oil was around $60 with a gas cleaner. I will continue my story later after lunch.
